Akuo, GAM Capital indicator concession bargain for 53-MW Dominican solar project

- The Dominican Republic's National Energy Commission (CNE) has authorized a conclusive giving in agreement with French power producer Akuo Energy and investment fund supervisor GAM Capital for the 53-MW Matrisol solar project, it was introduced on Tuesday.
The solar plant will certainly be built in Maria Trinidad Sanchez province making use of funding from Banco Popular Dominicano. It is expected to commence operations in 2023.
Matrisol has a long-lasting power acquisition agreement (PPA) with Cerveceria Nacional Dominicana, a local beer producer possessed by Belgium-based developing company abdominal muscle InBev (BVMF: ABUD34).
The investor is taking part in the project via its fund GAM Energia.
This is the 2nd renewable resource project in the Dominican Republic to be developed in a collaboration between these 2 companies. They formerly collaborated on a 50-MW wind farm in the province of Monte Cristi.
