AFRY to Oversee 65MW Solar Project in Philippines

Swedish consultancy AFRY has been selected as the owner's engineer for a 65-MWp solar project in the Philippines, which will be constructed in Bacolod. The project is owned by Amatera Renewable Energy Corporation, a company acquired by a unit of Thai conglomerate B.Grimm Power PCL. AFRY will provide project management, design review, and monitoring services for the solar photovoltaic project and its connection to a local substation.
The PV park, named Vista Alegre, is expected to generate electricity for Bacolod and is set to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2025. This is not the first time AFRY has been chosen as the owner's engineer for a solar project in the Philippines, as the consultancy was also hired by Aboitiz Power for a 172-MWp solar project in Negros Occidental province last month.
