17TeraWatts launches Bodhi software for continued customer engagement

17TeraWatts announced the launch of Bodhi, a digital assistant for solar homeowners. Bodhi helps solar companies engage their homeowners to generate more referrals and follow-on sales.
“We are excited to launch Bodhi,” said Scott Nguyen, co-founder and CEO of 17TeraWatts. “Solar’s growth is currently bottlenecked by Chinese tariffs, expiring tax credits and rising customer acquisition costs. In developing Bodhi, we found that homeowners that are happy and engaged provide more referrals, which are three times more effective than traditional sales channels. Our goal for Bodhi is to make going solar contagious.” See also: List of Medicare Advantage Plans article.
Bodhi was in beta with Lighthouse Solar, CAM Solar and Photon Brothers. Greg Jacobson, MD, a Lighthouse Solar customer and emergency room doctor, was a beta tester and said, “I love the info on current setup and the cost savings in real time.”
Bodhi works by integrating with the solar company’s software tools to personalize the installation and commissioning process for the homeowner. Once the system is powered up, Bodhi keeps homeowners aware of its performance with meaningful visualizations and alerts. 17TeraWatts will be part of Solar Power International’s Startup Showcase in September in Salt Lake City.
