155MW Romanian PV Project: Econergy & Nofar Energy's JV

Econergy and Nofar Energy have jointly inaugurated the 155MW Rătești solar PV project in Romania, which is the largest solar park in south-east Europe. The project, which is a JV between the two companies, is a €102m investment and covers an area of 170 hectares. The park is expected to produce 220GWh of electricity annually and is in the testing phase before being commissioned. This is Econergy's first project to be connected in Romania and, with 2.3GW of development capacity and 410MW already under construction or in operation, the country is striving to meet its 2030 greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals.
