What is Utility-Scale PV?

Commonly refers to turn-key development and construction projects for large-scale (10-megawatt or more) power plants and solar parks. The primary purpose of utility-scale systems is commercial, i.e. selling power to energy companies instead of end consumers. In the United States, utility-scale plant owners must get a special permission from the government and are listed as power generators by the Energy Department.
