Time of use (TOU)
What is Time of use (TOU)?
A billing scheme, in which utility electricity price is dependent on time of the day and the volumes of solar power generation and power consumption. Commonly, the highest rate is in the afternoon when electricity consumption is maximum. In the nighttime, when power demand is low, grid electricity is priced at the lowest rate.
