What is Thin film technology?
Today, there are a lot of modern thin film technologies under development. They are aimed at reducing the volume and weight of light-absorbing materials used in manufacture of PV modules. This results in lower cost of production compared to processing of a bulk material (e.g. silicon thin films). At the same time, efficiency of thin-film cells reduces as well.
