What is Retail Electric Provider (REP)?

A company selling electricity to retail customers in the regions where the sale of electrical energy is open to retail competition. Retail Electric Provider purchases wholesale electrical energy, delivering and related services, charges the electricity price for consumers, and looks for customers to purchase electricity at retail.
