What is Passive solar home?
In contrast to active solar solutions like photovoltaics, this technology uses part of the house as a solar collector. Sunlight is harnessed for illuminating and heating the house directly. There are no energy conversion systems, circulating liquid or moving parts. In wintertime, the light entering the house and helping heat the building is referred to as passive source of energy.
