What is CPUC?
CPUC, or PUC, is abbreviated from the California Public Utilities Commission. Californian agency responsible for regulating the investor-owned utilities, such as the Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison, and San Diego Gas & Electric. The agency’s target is to reduce anticompetitive practices and control tariffs and services offered by the utilities.
