Tata Power Builds 28 MW Solar Plant For Sanyo Steel
TPREL and Sanyo Special Steel Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd. sign 28.125 MW (AC) captive solar plant agreement to produce 61.875 Million Units (MUs) annually and reduce carbon footprint by ~42,534 tonnes. TPREL's total renewables capacity reaches 7,815 MW with this project.

Sweden Tests Solar-Powered Hybrid Truck

FIMER Powers BESS at Capgemini
Capgemini, the IT multinational firm, has partnered with FIMER on a revolutionary project that will reduce 70,000 tonnes of carbon emissions and use 100% renewable energy. FIMER supplied three 2MVA PCS bidirectional converters for two office campuses in India. With Black Start Mode/Grid forming mode, the PCS can form the grid during outages.

Saudi's $123M Egypt Solar Closes Financing
ACWA Power has closed financing for 200MW Kom Ombo solar project in Egypt, with $123 million of the total $182 million investment coming from international institutions. In January 2024, the plant will provide electricity to 130,000 households and help Egypt meet its 2035 goal of 42% renewable energy.

Floating Solar: Utah Water District Soars to Net-Zero
Ameresco is awarded the design contract to build a 589-kW floating solar array for the Mountain Regional Water Special Service District. The project will offset 92% of the energy consumed from the grid, reduce energy costs by 80%, and help the district reach a net-zero energy goal. Construction begins June 2024 with completion expected by September 2024.

HASI, Summit Ridge Double Down on 250MW Community Solar

Encavis Buys 12MW Battery in Germany
Encavis AG has announced the purchase of a 12MW/24MWh battery storage project in Hettstedt, Germany. The energy storage system will be integrated into the grid in 2024 and will store electricity from Encavis' renewable power facilities, reducing the cost of balancing energy. Mario Schirru, Encavis' Chief Investment Officer, highlighted the new plant's ability to generate more revenue from their Renewable Energy. First half of 2023 results reported flat revenue and earnings per share.
