At the MWC 2025 exhibition, Anker Solix unveiled a prototype raincoat integrated with perovskite solar panels, designed to charge electronic devices outdoors. The innovative wearable, resembling a rain jacket, features a slippery surface and is equipped with approximately two dozen flexible perovskite solar cells. These cells are sewn onto the jacket, which Anker Solix refers to as a cloak.
The jacket includes a cable with a 30-watt USB-C output, allowing users to connect to a power bank or charge devices directly while on the move or relaxing outdoors. Currently, the solar jacket remains a concept, with no confirmed plans for commercial release.
