GameChange Energy has commissioned its Genius Tracker system at Bright Fern Energy’s 23-MWp Dannevirke solar farm in New Zealand, marking the company’s first completed project in the country and a milestone in Oceania. The project is in the Manawatū-Whanganui region and was engineered for local conditions, including seismic risk, uneven terrain, high wind exposure, weather-related construction issues and complex logistics.

The farm uses the Genius Tracker 1P 4 String system. GameChange said it applied TopoSmart to tailor the tracker layout to terrain and relied on pre-assembled components to speed installation. Bright Fern CEO Cassidy Prere attributed timely delivery to engineering support. GameChange said commissioning confirms the value of engineering-led design for utility-scale reliability. Dannevirke is the first of Bright Fern’s consented New Zealand solar projects, with a pipeline of over 550 MW.
