The photovoltaic (PV) solar plant located in La Aljorra, will be equipped with over 260,000 solar panels and supply renewable electricity to SABIC's polycarbonate facility for 25 years. The renewable power produced by the plant will help SABIC customers in sectors such as automotive and construction access 100% renewable electricity generated polycarbonate solutions. What is SABIC and Iberdrola's Global Partnership? SABIC, the Saudi Arabian chemical company, and Iberdrola, the Spanish utility, have formed a global partnership for the development of a 100 MW captive solar plant for SABIC’s industrial complex in Spain. The photovoltaic (PV) solar project will have an investment of $76 million and will be located on land owned by SABIC in the town of La Aljorra, where Iberdrola will install more than 260,000 solar panels.
