Belectric GmbH, a Germany-based solar power EPC provider, has completed the construction of a solar farm with power capacity of 120 megawatts, located next to Zeélim, the southern part of Israel.

The facility deployment began two years ago in cooperation with Israel-based company Solel Boneh Limited. The estimated annual generation capacity of the installation exceeds 220 gigawatt-hours.

Whether the venture has been subsidized by the state or not is unclear. How the developer is going to sell the electricity is not known yet either.

The solar park belongs to the renewable energy unit of construction and infrastructure giant Shikun and Binui.

According to the German contractor’s statement, they take great pride of completing this huge project both on time and in line with the highest European safety and health standards.

The plant has become 25th Israeli photovoltaic project by Belectric. In total, the developer has a 270-megawatt pipeline throughout the country deployed over the six-year period.
