Hawke’s Bay Airport in New Zealand has opened an expression-of-interest (EOI) process seeking partners to deliver, and potentially co-invest in, a solar power project. The planned facility would have a capacity of 12 megawatts to 17 megawatts.

The airport said construction is targeted to begin in 2027, depending on the outcome of the EOI process and subsequent project development steps. Interested parties are being invited to submit proposals outlining how they would finance, build and support the solar farm.
