EVN's unit installs initial bifacial PV plant in North Macedonia

- North Macedonia's power distribution firm EVN Macedonia, part of Austrian power group EVN, stated it has mounted a solar (PV) nuclear power plant that at the same time produces power from the sunlight as well as the representation of light.

The PV plant located in Negotino, in central North Macedonia, is the first of its kind in the nation and has a capacity to create 2.1 GWh of electricity each year, EVN Macedonia said in a press release on Thursday.
The nuclear power plant has a mounted ability of 1,479 kW as well as includes bifacial photovoltaic panels that create electrical energy from both their sides - from straight sunlight in the front side and also reflected light in the back side.
