Waaree Energies Ltd, an Indian solar panel maker, has switched on a 87.5-MW/122.5-MWp solar power plant in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. The project was built by Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd and will produce 349 million kWh annually, enough to meet the needs of 278,000 homes. The facility spans 651 acres of undulated land and is part of a larger 150-MW/210-MWp project, with a 25-year PPA with Solar Energy Corporation of India. Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd is also responsible for operation and maintenance of the plant for two years.
