TPREL Gets LOA for 200 MW Solar Project from MSEDCL
- Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited as well as among the considerable renewable energy players in the country, has received a 'Letter of Award' (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), an entirely had business entity under the Maharashtra Federal government, to set up a 200 MW solar PV project in Solapur, Maharashtra. The letter complies with a similar award to SJVN recently.
The project will certainly be commissioned within 18 months from the PPA implementation day. The project was awarded via affordable bidding, adhered to by a reverse e-auction. TPREL had bid for 300 MW at Rs 2.97/ kWh, and finally won 200 MW after 300 MW was designated to SolarArise (100 MW at Rs 2.90/ kWh) as well as SJVN (200 MW).

With this win, the complete renewables capacity of TPREL reaches 6,503 MW with a set up capacity of 3,909 MW (Solar-- 2,981 MW & Wind-- 928 MW) and also 2,594 MW under various stages of execution.
