The 1.9 MWp Solar project in Taiwan is ready for commercial use

This solar plant is power-driven by 6,384 Canadian Solar modules. This company is among the top rated solar photovoltaic module producers in the world. According to Canadian Solar, the solar modules used for this project are certified by the Voluntary Product Certification. It was also stated that the solar modules were produced in Taiwan. This solar project is expected to produce 2,505 MWh of solar energy annually. 

Dr. Shawn Qu in a statement released recently, stated that the company was pleased to announce the completion of the 1.98 MWp solar plant project in Taiwan. According to the chairman and chief executive officer of the company, this was their first project in Taiwan. Dr. Qu further stated that Canadian Solar operations have been successful in countries where the materials for their project was manufactured locally, and hopes that same will happen in Taiwan.

The TaiPower Inc. Company will buy the power produced by this solar plant. This contract will last for 20 years. The feed-in-tariff will be sold at NTD 4.922 (USD dollars 0.16) per kWh. The company’s board has instructed that a total of USD 150 million worth of shares should be repurchased. This program is expected to last for 6 months, that is from the 9th day of December 2019 to the 8th day of June 2020. apart from the management of the company, other factors that will affect the repurchase program include the shar price and market condition.
