Telis Energy, a European renewables development platform backed by Carlyle, has entered the Italian market with the launch of Telis Energy Italy. The new subsidiary aims to develop 3 GW of battery storage and hybrid renewable energy projects in Italy, led by industry veteran Marco Petrone. The company has already originated over 1,000 MWh of battery storage projects and over 100 MWp of hybrid renewable energy schemes in various Italian regions.
Established in late 2022, Telis Energy plans to build a project pipeline of more than 10 GW by 2030. The company, which is also active in the UK, France, and Germany, sees Italy as a market with significant potential and a growing need for energy storage solutions.
