Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited has been granted USD 425 million by the US International Development Finance Corporation for building a 4.3-GW solar cell and module manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. This project will create 2,000 jobs and module production is expected to start in 2020. India's renewable energy goals will be boosted by this facility. Tata Power currently has a 7.8 GW renewable energy portfolio.

Silfab Solar Inc. has signed an agreement with NorSun to purchase locally-made silicon wafers for its PV module production. This partnership will enable Silfab to strengthen its supply chain and provide more Western-produced wafers for its products. NorSun is currently raising funds for a 3Gw and 5GW production facility in the US.

Redeux Energy Partners LLC is offering 1.7 GW DC of solar and 160 MW/640 MWh of battery energy storage projects in 7 US states for sale. Marathon Capital LLC is advising and reaching out to IPPs, strategics and financiers in clean energy. Redeux is currently operating in 15 states with 3.5-GW pipeline of projects and aims to expand to 5 GW by 2023.

Igneo Infrastructure Partners has acquired a majority stake in US renewable power producer Soltage LLC, enabling the expansion of its 1.9-GW pipeline of solar and storage projects. Prudential Private Capital has sold its equity interest with Co-founder and CEO Jesse Grossman and the management team retaining shareholdings.

Ingka Investments and Apex Clean Energy are set to begin operations of their 16.4-MW Cameron Storage battery energy storage system in Cameron County, Texas. The project is part of the Ingka Group's sustainability strategy and will be co-located with the existing 165-MW Cameron Wind Farm. Worley and Powin are providing engineering and equipment services.

Revive and upgrade an old plant in Quebec with C$750 million, partly funded by the Canadian and Quebec governments. Production has capacity for 2.5 million electric vehicle batteries and is expected to begin in 2026. Solus Advanced Materials Co. unit Volta Energy Solutions leading the project.

Heliene Inc, a Canadian solar panel maker, has secured an order from US-based Nexamp Inc for 1.5 GW of solar modules - the largest community solar order in US history. Nexamp is financing the construction of 250 MW of PV parks across 6 states. Heliene has 3 production facilities in the US and Canada.

Origis Energy has started construction on the 200-MW Escalante Solar Project in New Mexico. Built near Grants, this PV facility will produce enough energy to power 40,000 homes and is scheduled for completion in 2024. Gridworks is overseeing construction and Origis will assume operation and maintenance services. The project will be located next to a zero-emission, hydrogen-fired power facility.

Enphase Energy is revolutionizing the world's transition to renewable, reliable, and affordable energy with their microinverters and storage solutions. Partnering with Salcomp to produce the IQ Microinverters in the US, Enphase is creating jobs and expanding the clean energy economy.

HASI and Summit Ridge Energy will partner to develop 250MW of community solar projects in Illinois and Maryland over the next two years. The projects will use US-made solar panels & 20MWh of energy storage from the Hanwha Group-owned Qcells. Investment tax credits and the Inflation Reduction Act will apply.

TSK Electronica y Electricidad SA to construct two 180 MW solar photovoltaic plants in the Dominican Republic for US utility AES Corp. The two projects, Peravia I and II, are the fourth collaboration between the companies in the country.

FranklinWH Energy Storage Inc., a US residential energy storage systems (ESS) company, has raised USD 25 million (EUR 23.1m) in Series B funds. Particle Future led the round to enhance R&D, optimize supply chain, and expand operations and sales network. Franklin Home Power integrates solar, battery, grid and generator power sources. Founded in 2019 and funded by Sequoia Capital. Gary Lam says the new capital will make renewable energy options more accessible.

Engie, a global energy company, has signed a binding agreement to acquire Broad Reach Power, a US energy storage company, to support 10GW of battery capacity globally by 2030. Completion expected by end of 2023.

Avangrid has announced their first solar project in California: the 44MW Camino Solar to be constructed by Cupertino Electric in Kern County. It will create jobs, generate local taxes, and bring clean energy to the area. Pedro Azagra, Avangrid CEO, calls it a necessary step to address climate change.
