Leading PV manufacturing equipment supplier Meyer Burger Technology is seeking a new business model with integrated PV module manufacturer, REC Group to establish revenue share from establishing multiple gigawatts of heterojunction (HJT) solar cell and module production in Singapore.

Solar could be rolled out on buildings across all of China’s major urban centres at competitive prices without the need for subsidies, according to a new study published on Nature Energy.

The Rural Areas Electricity Company wants to build hybrid plants in 11 non-interconnected areas of the sultanate. The projects will have a total of 48 MW of solar power generation capacity and 70 MW of diesel and the storage component will have total installed power of 28 MW and a storage capacity of 14 MWh.
