Sunly to mount photovoltaic panels at 100 cell towers of Telia Estonia
- Estonian renewables programmer Sunly will construct solar installments at 100 cell towers of the Estonian branch of Swedish telecommunications group Telia, the firms claimed.
Under the agreement, signed last week, the solar systems will certainly have 36 panels each and a combined capacity of 1.8 MW. To be released between this spring as well as the end of 2024, the arrays will be able to generate 1.8 GWh per year, 70% of which will be made use of by the cell towers as well as the remainder marketed to the grid.
Sunly will give a full-service lease to Telia Estonia, which will not have to buy the equipment.
"We had currently protected renewable electricity through Guarantees of Origin, yet by enhancing solar manufacturing we will certainly add new renewable electrical energy to the system as well as allow tens of thousands of Telia customers to use mobile services powered by solar energy this year," claimed Telia Estonia chief executive Holger Haljand.
