SJVN bags 15 MW floating solar project in Himachal Pradesh

State-run SJVN on Saturday said that it has won a 15 MW grid-connected floating solar PV power project in Bilaspur area of Himachal Pradesh.
SJVN Chairman as well as Managing Director Nand Lal Sharma in a statement claimed that the power manufacturer got the floating solar energy project at Nangal pond, near village Neilla, in the district at the rate of Rs 3.26 per unit.

"It is a pleased moment for SJVN that it has landed its first Floating Solar Project in Himachal Pradesh. Sharma apprised that the expense of creating this Floating Solar Project will be approximately 100 crores.
The project is expected to create 32.85 MU (million devices) in the first year and the cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years will be roughly 756 MU. The Power Purchase Agreement between SJVN & Bhakra Beas Management Board will certainly be authorized shortly.
Sharma even more stated that SJVN currently has 11 solar energy projects of 2,965 MW capacity under different phases of advancement with a total portfolio of more than 16,800 MW.
