Primergy Solar LLC has secured a 400-MW solar project with battery storage in Nevada, with San Diego Community Power (SDCP) as the power off-taker. The long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) between Primergy and SDCP is tied to the entire capacity of the Purple Sage Energy Center, with supplies set to begin in 2027. The project will feature PV modules and 1.6 GWh of battery energy storage systems, located between Las Vegas and the California border.
This agreement comes after Primergy recently signed a PPA with Microsoft Corp for a 408-MW solar park in Texas. The Purple Sage Energy Center is expected to produce over 1.2 million MWh of electricity annually, enough to power more than 100,000 households. Primergy, a portfolio company of Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, continues to expand its renewable energy projects and partnerships in the United States.
