Naturgy taps Solar Steel to provide 144 MW of trackers in Spain

- Spanish solar tracker maker Gonvarri Solar Steel said on Wednesday that it has safeguarded agreements with power and gas utility Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME: NTGY) to provide its modern technology for 144 MW of projects in the house.

The order includes the supply of the TracSmarT+ 1V single-row and also dual-row trackers, which Solar Steel is to supply to 3 sites in Spain. One of them lies in Tabernas, Almeria province, where Naturgy wishes to install 100 MW of solar energy. The websites in Canredondo, Guadalajara district, as well as Castuera in Badajoz, will certainly each house a 22-MW solar farm, Solar Steel claimed.
The projects will utilize a total of 250,000 modules as well as 2,400 pieces of TracSmarT+ 1V trackers with two strings of components per row.
Solar Steel's team will accomplish the setup, the manufacturer said.
