Marius Pedersen signs 10-year PPA for Danish solar park

Danish environmental and waste treatment company Marius Pedersen A/S has signed a power purchase agreement with Better Energy to procure green power from a solar photovoltaic park on the island of Funen. The agreement will last for 10 years, with Marius Pedersen using the electricity for its facilities located near the PV park. The Fraugde PV park, covering 74 hectares in Odense, is expected to generate 81 GWh of electricity annually, enough to meet the demand of about 51,000 Danes.

Better Energy is responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the solar park, which is set to be connected to the grid by the end of 2024. In addition to Marius Pedersen, Semler Gruppen and Carlsberg have also signed power purchase agreements with Better Energy for the Fraugde solar park. Semler Gruppen is Denmark's leading car importer, while Carlsberg is a well-known Danish brewery.
