LONGi Green Energy has made a significant industrial investment in Malaysia with the launch of its MYR 1.8 billion (approximately RMB 2.8 billion) Serendah Module Plant in Selangor. This ambitious project spans 140 acres, integrating the highest standards of photovoltaic technology, equipment, and craftsmanship. Once complete, this facility will boast a production capacity of 8.8GW and will become LONGi’s premier venture in Peninsular Malaysia.

The investment not only boosts the economy, but it also supports Malaysia’s goal of decarbonisation in Southeast Asia. It is expected to create 900 high-quality local jobs by 2023 and has already seen a growth in its workforce from 570 to 8,000. Of these, 99.9% are Malaysian residents. Overall, this project marks a significant milestone for LONGi and for Malaysia’s sustainable development.
