Lightsource bp switches on 25-MW Pennsylvania solar farm
- Lightsource BP, the UK solar developer backed by BP Plc (LON: BP), recently said its 25-MW Elk Hill Solar 1 farm in Franklin County, Pennsylvania has achieved commercial operation.
This is among 2 solar farms being delivered by Lightsource BP to serve the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). Under the partnership revealed in 2020, the solar developer and the public transportation authority currently have greater than 42 MW of functional solar in Pennsylvania. The assets can cover around 20% of SEPTA's electrical power demand, advancing its sustainability goals.
