juwi to build four Colorado-based solar parks
- US’s Tri-State contracts Geman’s juwi for development of 500 megawatts of photovoltaic generation capacity in the state of Colorado

Tri-State Generation & Transmission Association Inc. has hired juwi Holding AG to construct 4 Colorado-based solar arrays. Together with another project under construction, these facilities are scheduled to add 500MW of clean energy generation to Westminster-located power supplier’s portfolio by the turn of the year 2023/24. According to PPAs, the green power builder will be responsible for constructing, owning and operating the projects.
These 4 new solar farms are Spanish Peaks (two phases), Dolores Canyon, Coyote Gulch, and Axial Basin Solar. The power plants will be located in the counties of Las Animas, Dolores, La Plata and Moffatt. They will have capacities of 100, 40, 110, 120 and 145 megawatts, respectively. The power generated by the stations will be sufficient to supply electricity to more than 165 thousand homes.
The ventures are being deployed under Responsible Action Plan by Tri-State. The company claims the currently developed projects are the most transformational actions throughout its existence.
