German solar developer Goldbeck Solar GmbH and solar cells and modules maker DAS Solar have been chosen to build a 145-MW ground-mounted solar farm near Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands. The project, known as Solar Project Swan, is owned by Energy Solutions Group and is set to be one of the largest solar installations in the country.
The contract for the project was signed during the Intersolar Europe event in Germany. Energy Solutions Group, a Belgium-based independent power producer focused on renewable energy, recently opened a new office in the Netherlands near Schiphol Airport. The project is expected to make a significant contribution to the country's renewable energy goals.
