  • Eurowind Energy launches 60.2-MW Teius Solar Park in Romania, boosting green energy with EUR 55M investment and 116.96-MWh battery storage. Romania eyes regional leadership in renewables.

Danish renewables developer Eurowind Energy A/S has inaugurated the 60.2-MW Teius Solar Park in Romania, aiming for a total renewable energy capacity of 124 MW by year-end. The project, valued at EUR 55 million, includes EUR 15 million in non-reimbursable funds from Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Additionally, Eurowind is developing a 116.96-MWh battery energy storage system at Teius with a EUR 43 million investment, supported by EUR 7.6 million from the PNRR.

Romania's energy minister, Sebastian Burduja, highlighted that over 600 MW of new capacity has been completed through the PNRR, with expectations to exceed 1,300 MW. He emphasized Romania's potential as a regional green energy leader, with over 10,000 MW in development and significant non-reimbursable funding secured. Teius is Eurowind's fourth solar park in Romania, featuring an internal 110/20kV, 80 MVA transformation station.

How is Eurowind Energy contributing to Romania's renewable energy goals with Teius Solar Park?
