Eni's Dhamma Energy completes 87.5-MWp solar park in France

- Italian oil-and-gas major Eni medical spa (BIT: ENI) announced on Tuesday that fully-owned energy developer Dhamma Energy has inaugurated an 87.5-MWp solar facility in France.
Comprised of five plants in the Hauts-de-France area, the Athies-Samoussy photovoltaic (PV) complex can generating 93 GWh each year, enough to fulfill the consumption of 40,000 families.
Athies-Samoussy was built on a 100-hectare (247.1 acres) part of the former Laon-Athies NATO Air Base and also is among the ten largest centers of its kind in France.
Previously this month, Dhamma Energy finished the transfer of its Spanish and also French business to Eni's retail power as well as gas service Eni Gas e Luce. The Madrid-based assets consisted of a 120-MWp operational solar portfolio in France and a pipeline of nearly 3 GWp of projects under advancement across both France as well as Spain.
