Engie Brasil Seeks Solar Innovations with Public Call

Engie Brasil Energia SA has launched a public call for innovation projects aimed at enhancing solar power plant solutions. The initiative, named InovaSolar, invites proposals to participate in a Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) project under the guidance of Engie and the local power sector regulator Aneel's RD&I programme. Eligible participants include Science and Technology Institutes, universities, start-ups, technology-based companies, and consultancies in Brazil. Registration is free and open until June 9, 2024.
The company is focusing on ten research areas: cleaning photovoltaic panels, equipment theft prevention, vegetation control, equipment loss mitigation, fire detection, tracker operation reliability, rain and humidity monitoring, curtailment reduction, solar park technological standardization, and operational resilience against extreme weather.
