Enel Green Power has successfully started delivering electricity to the grid from its 93-MW Girgarre solar park in Victoria, Australia. The solar park, located in the Shire of Campaspe, will sell electricity under a long-term power purchase agreement with SmartestEnergy Australia.

The AUD-140-million project, which began construction in September, is being carried out by Beon Australia & New Zealand with technology provided by Longi Asia-Pacific. Once fully operational, the Girgarre solar park is projected to generate enough electricity to meet the annual demand of approximately 43,000 homes.
