Spanish asset manager Dunas Capital has connected a 19.77-MWp solar farm in Toledo, Spain, named Calera, through its managed fund. The plant, with 34,720 solar panels, is expected to produce 42,000 MWh annually, powering around 13,000 homes. The project was financed through a unitranche structure with Kobus Asset Finance I guaranteed by the European Investment Fund.
Dunas Capital is considering adding batteries to the Calera facility, pending regulatory developments. The firm's Dunas Clean Energy I fund, with a 300 MWp portfolio, plans to begin construction on three more projects by late 2024 and aims to have its entire portfolio operational by 2026.
