Duke Energy Renewables has commenced business procedure of its 200MW Rambler photovoltaic or pv plant in Texas.

Rambler, in Tom Green County, is the 2nd 200MW solar plant in the state that Duke Energy Renewables has actually brought online this year, bringing its total operational solar capacity in Texas to over 500MW.

In very early July, the company announced the business operation of its Holstein solar project in Nolan County.

Duke Energy Renewables president Chris Fallon said: "We're pleased to continue our growth of solar energy resources in Texas, which is experiencing an increasing need for power.

" The Rambler Solar project will bring significant financial benefit to the state as well as produce tidy energy to satisfy the area's expanding power demands."

Duke Energy Renewables acquired the Rambler solar project in September 2019 from Canadian Energy business Recurrent Energy.

Electrical energy created by the Rambler Solar project is being marketed to a customer under a 15-year contract.

The facility's construction was carried out by Signal Energy. Duke Energy Renewables will run and keep the plant.
