Consumers Energy to acquire 140 MW of solar from brand-new Michigan project

  • Consumers Energy revealed an agreement to buy 140 MW of renewable energy from the Calhoun Solar Center. Invenergy, a Midwest-based programmer and operator of sustainable energy services, is establishing and also constructing the project.

The contract makes Calhoun Solar Center one of the largest solitary projects supplying solar energy to Consumers Energy consumers. The strategy requires approval by the Michigan Public Service Payment.
