CIMIC Acquires 300MW Solar Project in Qld

Juan Santamaria notes Queensland is strategic focus for their diversified energy and utilities portfolio. Engineering, procurement and construction to be managed with an aim to commission in 2026.
CIMIC Group's unit Pacific Partnerships has acquired the rights to develop a 300-MW DC solar project in Queensland from Renewable Energy Partners. Located in the Western Downs area, it will be capable of providing power for around 100,000 average-sized local homes. Pacific Partnerships is in the process of managing the engineering, procurement and construction for the plant with an aim to commission it in 2026. CIMIC Group's executive chairman Juan Santamaria noted that Queensland is a strategic focus for their diversified national portfolio of energy and utilities assets.
