Axpo signs PPA for Obton's 11-MWp solar farm in Germany
- Swiss renewables firm and also power investor Axpo Holding AG introduced on Monday that it has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Denmark's Obton A/S to off-take electrical power from an 11-MWp solar farm in Germany.
The Danish solar energy investor is currently developing the plant, named Klatzow, in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The appointing is planned for the spring of 2022, Axpo stated.
The PPA with Axpo will compete ten years, and will be the major resource of earnings for the future solar farm. The Klatzow project is furthermore backed by a set market premium to which it is entitled after safeguarding the honor in Germany's EEG technology tender by the Federal Network Agency.
For Obton, the contract is its first PPA deal in Germany. The Danish designer was sustained by German financial solutions strong Deutsche Anlagen-Leasing GmbH & Co. KG (DAL) in structuring the PPA section of the hybrid advertising and marketing service for Klatzow.
