Albioma secures 12.1 MWp of solar in French tender
- French independent renewable resource manufacturer Albioma SA (EPA: ABIO) has actually validated its award of solar projects amounting to 12.2 MWp in a residential tender for photovoltaic (PV) capacity in non-interconnected zones (ZNIs).
The French firm stated on Monday it is among the companies with the highest volume of secured capacity. Its awards cover 19 projects, both ground-mounted and rooftop, in the French overseas regions-- Reunion Island, Martinique, French Guiana and Guadeloupe.
Albioma expects to begin construction tasks on the projects next year.
Previously in May, the French Ministry of Ecological Transition introduced 89 victors in the 6th round of the solar ZNIs tender programme. The picked projects will add a consolidated power generation capacity of 49.8 MWp in Corsica as well as the overseas regions, several of it with storage space.
Albioma, majority-owned by a unit of US acquistion firm KKR & Co Inc (NYSE: KKR), runs biomass as well as solar power plants in metropolitan and overseas France, Mauritius as well as Brazil, as well as likewise has geothermal facilities in Turkey.
