Technique Solaire Acquires 135MWp in India
France’s Technique Solaire Group has acquired five ground-mounted solar farms in the Indian state of Karnataka from Indian renewables company ReNew Energy Global Plc. The solar farms have a combined capacity of 135.4 MWp and generate 215 GWh of electricity per year. They are backed by a long-term power purchase agreement with several electricity and gas distribution companies in Karnataka.The acquisition has added 210MWp of capacity to Technique Solaire’s India portfolio, and the company is aiming to reach 350MWp by the end of 2025. Technique Solaire recently raised EUR 200 million to support its international expansion plans, and the firm’s Managing Director in India, Manu Bishnoi, has described the acquisition as “significant” and “a demonstration of our ability to successfully conclude M&A deals above 100 MW in India.” What Capacity Has Technique Solaire's Acquisition of Solar Farms in India Added?
