British public utility Southern Water introduced the 2nd phase of its plan to install solar arrays at its sites, including floating PV projects.

After kicking-off in December 2019 with a request for information (RFI) procedure, the utility is now introducing the procurement exercise to seek offers from solar power service providers. "Energy costs are just one of SWS largest Opex prices, as well as the business is believed to have greater than 6,000 acres of land which SWS wish to utilise in order to lower Opex prices and also meet carbon and eco-friendly targets," the business specified in the tender paper.
