TotalEnergies to set up 1.7-MWp roof solar array in Vietnam
- French power significant TotalEnergies SE (EPA: TTE) will construct a 1.7-MWp solar array on a rooftop of a footwear manufacturing facility possessed by China's Huali Industrial Group Co Ltd (SHE:300979) in Vietnam.
TotalEnergies stated today it was worked with to develop and run the photovoltaic (PV) system at Huali's Annora Vietnam Footwear Co Ltd manufacturing facility site located in Thanh Hoa province.
The manufacturing facility, which creates and also makes footwear for sporting activities brand Nike Inc (NYSE: NKE), will spend for the created electrical power without presuming ahead of time investment threats, TotalEnergies said.
The French company will mount over 4,000 PV panels as part of the project. The system will be capable of creating some 2,000 MWh per year, when up and running.
At present, TotalEnergies has a portfolio of over 600 MW of distributed generation (DG) solar projects in advancement and procedure worldwide via its subsidiary TotalEnergies Renewables Dispersed Generation.
