The sites are expected to generate enough electricity for about 6,150 households annually and deliver more than $36 million in total subscriber electricity bill savings over participants’ lifespans. ComEd said the capacity will be placed on underutilized rooftops totaling 5 million square feet, as it works to expand distributed energy resources amid rising demand.
