Swift Current Powers NYSERDA with 402 MW Solar

Swift Current Energy has confirmed the awarding of a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) to its 402-MW Mineral Basin Solar project in Pennsylvania. This represents the largest project selected in the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) renewable energy procurement, and the sole one located outside of New York. Construction of the photovoltaic (PV) park on a reclaimed coal mine area in Pennsylvania's Clearfield County is planned to begin next summer, with commissioning expected in the second half of 2026. Swift Current is also developing over 1,000 MW of solar and storage projects across former coal mine locations in Pennsylvania.
