Enel activates 61-MW solar plant in Chile

  • Santiago-based electrical utility Enel Green Power Chile SA has actually gotten government authorization to commence commercial operations at the 60.9-MW Azabache solar energy plant in the north of the nation.

The local device of Italian energy major Enel SpA (BIT: ENEL) stated on Thursday the authorisation was granted by the National Electric Coordinator.

Situated on the grounds of Enel Green Power Chile's 90-MW Valle de los Vientos wind farm, near the city of Calama in the Atacama desert, Azabache is part of the very first hybrid industrial plant in the country.
