Dominican Republic gives giving in for 110-MW solar project

  • CNE, the Dominican Republic's nationwide power commission, has issued a definitive giving in for the 110-MW/131-MWp Coastal Solar solar (PV) project to be located in the province of San Pedro de Macoris.

The energy commission signed the concession manage project sponsor Coastal Oil Dominicana SA, it revealed last week. The concession is provided for a duration of 25 years, according to CNE's website.

The Coastal Solar scheme is the 24th definitive giving in permission issued by the Dominican federal government in 2022 alone. CNE has actually okayed to a total amount of greater than 645 MW to be included in the nationwide grid in the near future.
