Transatlantic renewable independent power producer Alternus Energy has acquired a 32MW solar project in Tennessee, US. The Dancing Horse scheme, part of a larger portfolio of three known as Sunrise, is expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2025 and generate approximately $2.3m in annual revenue. The power generated will be offtaken by two regional utilities through 30-year power purchase agreements. Alternus CEO Vincent Browne stated that the acquisition marks "the tip of the spear" as the company looks to drive growth in the US. He believes the project will be connected on time and increase the company's revenue visibility.
